Biografie | Chris is SIM's Head of Fixed Interest, and a portfolio manager for SIM Bond Plus Fund. Chris holds a MA in Economics (with distinction) from the University of the Orange Free State and an MSc in Finance (with merit) from the University of London and lectured at different universities. During his tenure at the National Treasury he also completed the Diploma in Financial Programming at the IMF Institute in Washington DC. As part of the research process at the National Treasury he interacted with a number of leading international agencies including the IMF and the World Bank in Washington DC and the Belgium Treasury. Before joining Gensec as an Investment Economist in 1999, Chris was a member of the Macroeconomic Policy Unit at the National Treasury in Pretoria. Apart from his involvement in policy formulation in general and the Budget process in particular, Chris played an active role in the development of the Government’s public debt management program which has subsequently contributed to the freeing up of resources to be spend on national priorities including housing, health and education. | ||

Biografie | André Roux was appointed Chief Investment Officer in May 2010 to SIM-Nambia. After a lengthy career in the financial markets Rouxjoined Sanlam in 1998 and was promoted to Head of Fixed Interest in 2001. In addition to his role as Head of Fixed Interest, Andre is also a voting member of the Asset Allocation Committe as well as the Credit and Asset and Liability committees of Sanlam. Roux started his career in 1988, he has extensive financial market experience and held various dealer, analyst, portfolio managers positions. Roux completed his B.Comm Hons (Economics) at the University of Stellenbosch in 1987. |
