Biografie | Nicholas graduated from the University of Surrey, England, with a BSc (Honours) in Economics. Following a brief period with Price Waterhouse, he joined Wardley Investment Services (Singapore) Limited (now known as Hongkong Bank Asset Management) in 1987, and later with Warburg Asset Management (now known as Blackrock Asset Management) in London in 1990. After two years in London, he was seconded to its subsidiary company in Singapore as Assistant Director. Apart from supervising the fund management operation in Singapore and monitoring the Pacific (ex- Japan) stock markets, he was directly responsible for managing assets exceeding US$500 million in the region for unit trusts, Tokkin funds, pension, quasi-government and institutional accounts.
