The company designs, manufactures, distributes and services instrument systems, columns and other chemical consumables that are integrated and used in conjunction with other analytical instruments. The company has two segments: Waters Division and TA Division. The Waters Division's products and services consist primarily of high performance liquid chromatography, ultra-high performance liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry and chemistry consumables and related services. TA Division's products and services mainly consist of thermal analysis, rheometry and calorimetry instrumentation systems and maintenance services. The products are used by pharmaceutical, life sciences, biochemical, industrial, food safety, environmental, academic and government customers engaged in research and development, quality assurance and other laboratory applications.
